We made it super-simple for you to get started with Vive. To learn about the whole process of how Vive works, visit the How it Works section here.
There are 3 main reasons why every driver should have Vive:
1. Safeguarding yourself and your vehicle
Our vehicles, the second largest investment to many, are often parked on the roadside with little sense of ownership. Vive allows you to feel a level of presence and security to your vehicle, even when you’re not around. People can contact you for various issues such as:
•Providing you with information about a hit and run incident which your vehicle suffered
•Informing you to move your vehicle to avoid towing and a €200 fine
• Informing you that you left your lights on leading to battery drain
•Informing you about information of a theft they have witnessed involving your vehicle
among many other issues
2. To Contact other drivers who are causing you inconvenience
In the case that other drivers are causing you inconvenience, Vive facilitates communication and allows you to contact the driver directly, by scanning the Vive QR found on the vehicle’s windshield, saving you time, money and lots of stress.
3. A sign of Respect and Accountability – If you are causing inconvenience to other road users, you are giving them a way to contact you
In the case that you have parked badly or are causing an inconvenience to other road users, having a Vive QR on your vehicle signifies respect and responsibility while also saving you from embarrassment. Vive provides a way for others to contact you when needed.
To contact another driver, scan the Vive QR on the vehicle using your phone camera and tap on the link. Learn how to contact another driver here.
Your details are never shared with anyone. Your phone number is also never shared. The other driver will receive an alert from Vive with the message you selected.
In the case of false alerts, you can report the sender using the link we provide in the alert via WhatsApp and SMS.
We take misuse seriously and will ban anyone who sends false alerts. Only report if the alert was not genuine.
The Vive QR can be purchased for a one-time fee of €4.50, which includes a month of free alerts.
After the first month, your annual plan begins, based on the communication methods you have selected — WhatsApp, SMS, Call. You can choose all methods or a combination of methods.
Pricing can differ between countries, starting at €5 per year (only €0.42 per month).
We suggest buying a clear transparent sticker sheet with a very strong adhesive. Cut the clear transparent sticker sheet to the size of 13cm x11cm (Height X Width). Peal the protective paper from the Vive QR sticker and stick it to the transparent sticker sheet. Both adhesive parts are to be stuck to each other. Stick this to a visible part of the front of your vehicle, preferably on a flat surface to make sure the Vive QR will be easily scannable. Make sure to clean the surface very well before applying the sticker. Learn how to register your Vive QR sticker here.
When changing/selling your vehicle, kindly peel off the Vive QR sticker from the vehicle and dispose of it. You are also able to delete the vehicle from your Vive account. Learn how here.
To use Vive on your new vehicle, you will need to purchase a new Vive QR.
Deleting a Vive QR removes the associated vehicle from your list of vehicles. After that, other users will no longer be able to alert you when scanning the Vive QR on that vehicle.
After deleting a vehicle, kindly remove the Vive QR from the vehicle and dispose of it.
